The Process
Designed by Grays Owner Connor Dudgeon. He built the first prototype in the studio. Cutting, bending, welding, and sandblasting it over the course of a week.
As each part of the metal is formed by hand, it begins to take shape.
the 16 gauge steel is firm enough to be formed by hand yet robust enough to stand up to weight requirements of the wine bottle. In fact the metal becomes much more strong when its bent vs the raw flat sheet.
Following a singular pattern, each wave shelf is hand bent to come close to the initial design, yet each one has a unique life to it and varies slightly.
Made to represent the rolling hills of wine country, each shelf represents a terrain that is organic, special, and truly plays a part in how that bottle of wine tastes.
The slope wine rack is made to look s good empty as it doe filled. We should be drinking our wines people!
