Double Pleated Shorts - Beige

Color Beige

These wide-leg shorts from Yoko Sakamoto are cut with generous double forward pleats that drape cleanly from a structured waistband, giving the silhouette an effortless volume that reads as both relaxed and intentional.

At the back, a partially elasticated waistband sits beneath a traditional belt-loop finish — one flap pocket and one welt pocket, both button-fastened — a detail that bridges utility and tailoring without leaning too hard in either direction.

The fabric is the thing here — an original serge developed exclusively at an Enshu region mill, weaving cotton warp with silk nep weft into a high-density construction that shouldn't feel as light as it does. The result is a surface with visible depth and subtle texture, while the hand remains dry and cool against the skin. Silk's natural temperature-regulating properties make it an ideal warm-weather material.

Made in Japan

60% Cotton & 40% Silk

Crafted as an original material at an Enshu region mill, this fabric is a serge weave combining cotton warp threads with silk nep weft threads.
Even with its high-density construction, it uniquely balances the inherent smoothness of silk with a refreshing, dry texture.

Yoko Sakamoto believes that by creating designs that do not interfere with the nature of the materials and silhouettes, we can make the most of their original qualities of the materials.

They hope to pass on and communicate the skills of the craftsmen involved in our work in a better way and that this will lead to the creation of products that will enrich the lives of the wearers and be one of their favourite items in their closet the would have for a long time to come.
