William Frederick

Started in 2018 by William McNicol, William Frederick is based in Cleveland, Ohio where every piece is designed, developed, and manufactured locally. His collections draw from a distinctly Midwestern sensibility: utilitarian, refined, and confident.

Sourcing fabrics from Japan, Ireland, Belgium, and Italy — as well as select deadstock materials — William creates small-batch garments that bridge function and form, simplicity and texture. His studio continues Cleveland’s garment-making legacy, once second only to New York, now revived through hands-on production and community.
