Le Kilt

Born and raised in Leith, Edinburgh, and trained at the Royal College of Art in London, our founder, Samantha McCoach, explores the origins and meaning of garments through her designs. Reframing local tradition for a modern audience that wants a connection with its clothes, and appreciates how true craftsmanship reveals itself the closer you look.

Le Kilt began with Sam's grandmother Lena, a kilt-maker, showing her how to make the first samples at the family dinner table. By working with a handful of small-scale British manufacturers we enable our customers to think sustainably and invest in quality.
