A classic t-shirt from YS.

This original 36-gauge super high-gauge knit material is produced by a Wakayama knitter. Using a very rare knitting machine, one of only a few in Japan, we've created a 36-gauge plain stitch fabric that feels remarkably like woven cloth. It's made from high-twist cupro and high-twist cotton yarns, with cupro on the surface for a refined look and cotton on the reverse for comfort against the skin.

This fabric offers an elegant luster and drape, excellent moisture absorption, and a superior feel not found in ordinary plain knits.

yoko sakamoto

Yoko Sakamoto believes that by creating designs that do not interfere with the nature of the materials and silhouettes, we can make the most of their original qualities of the materials.

They hope to pass on and communicate the skills of the craftsmen involved in our work in a better way and that this will lead to the creation of products that will enrich the lives of the wearers and be one of their favourite items in their closet the would have for a long time to come.
