High Neck Coat - Ontario Wool

Prix régulier $3,200.00 CAD
Livraison calculée au moment du paiement.

Made from wool grown in Ontario.

This coat is part of a system we’ve been building, working directly with small farmers and producing entirely in Toronto to keep the process close to home.

Inspired by traditional French workwear, it’s designed as an everyday overcoat; something to be lived in. Made from a material shaped by the same climate we move through.

This piece marks our first exploration into natural dye. The fabric is handwoven in Toronto by Upper Canada Weaving, then dyed in indigo.

Each coat is hand-cut and made in Toronto.

Over time, the natural dye will evolve with each wear, made to develop a unique patina specific to the wearer.

Designed with a high neck, two oversized patch pockets, and a third pocket within the left side sized to hold a phone, notebook, or small memento. The sleeve features a two-button closure to adjust the cuff shape. Self-lined, with clean flat felled seams throughout.

Finished with hand carved pewter buttons made 5 minutes from our storefront.

100% Ontario wool

Wool from Topsy Farms on Amherst Island, Ontario, Canada.
The fabric is handwoven in Toronto by Upper Canada Weaving.
Dyed in indigo in Toronto by Iron Cauldron.

This coat is made from 100% wool and naturally dyed indigo.

Wool is naturally resilient and does not require frequent washing. We recommend airing out the garment between wears and spot cleaning when needed.

For a full clean, dry clean only with a cleaner experienced in natural fibres and dyes.

Due to the natural indigo dye, some colour transfer may occur during the first few wears. This will lessen over time. Avoid pairing with light-coloured garments initially.

Store on a structured hanger to maintain shape.

Grays is our in-house label, developed alongside the shop.

We design from material first, working with natural fibres, local makers, and small-scale production to build pieces that feel grounded in both process and place. Much of our work begins with Ontario wool, sourced directly from farms and produced close to home.
