The Mods Coat is a lifelong garment that gets better with age.

Complete with two covered pockets, high neck and a big hood for shelter from the wet weather. This exclusive YS material is a water-repellent typewriter fabric originally engineered for Japanese air force pilots.

The jacket has three points to adjust drawcords for a specific fit. It is made to have an oversized fit with the feeling that you can throw this jacket over anything and be protected. The fishtails can be buttoned up on the inside.

Made in Japan

100% Cotton

Woven with precision at a Saitama weaving mill, this exclusive material is a water-repellent typewriter fabric. It's crafted from ultra-fine, extra-long-staple cotton, woven to an unparalleled high density across both its warp and weft. This original fabric represents YS's unique interpretation and enhancement of a storied Japanese military- specification fabric with a rich history, originally engineered for air force pilots.

The fabric's ultra-high density imparts a tactile quality that is truly exceptional and distinct from ordinary typewriter cloths. It's a material designed to evolve and improve with age, becoming more personal with every wear.

yoko sakamoto

Yoko Sakamoto believes that by creating designs that do not interfere with the nature of the materials and silhouettes, we can make the most of their original qualities of the materials.

They hope to pass on and communicate the skills of the craftsmen involved in our work in a better way and that this will lead to the creation of products that will enrich the lives of the wearers and be one of their favourite items in their closet the would have for a long time to come.
